1950 Special Deluxe /

Currently resurrecting a 1979ish Vespa Si.

Appears a little different that any info I can find, regular spoked wheels is an easy difference, 2 rear shocks. Possibly a European model?

Frame number and engine number don't correspond to anything I can find.

It hadn't ran for a number of years.

Have it running now, bogs pretty bad under load, waiting on a carb kit from Treatland.

Frame #

SIM1T*10748

Engine #

SI1M*18003

Thanks for letting me in.

Carb kit showed up, ran existing parts thru Ultra sonic cleaner.

Installed kit.

Had it out last Saturday, ran fairly good.

Hit 25 mph.

Snow is on its way.

I should take it apart over the Winter and paint it, but might just wait to put a few more miles on it.

Thanks again

Re: New Member from Canada

neat, never realized that they came in dual shock and spokes elsewhere. We only had the mono with mags in The US. Also that color is neat, I don’t see any others that color with a quick search. Nice score, always loved the Si.
