Thats about all he is.

When you advertise bikes for sale and or a service you best answer your messages if you want to be successful.

DOS FTW!

Hey there live. I apologize if you didn't get a response. I usually try to respond to every request if possible. I believe I may have just missed it. Can I ask where you sent the requests to? Facebook, Instagram, Email, Moped Army PM?

Its NOT a matter of IF I didnt get a response! Its a matter of twice over the span of a year that you DID NOT RESPOND.

Usually try to respond if possible???

Ya, I dont need to do business with you

Wondering Pacer.

Wonder if he will respond, or if he's "just a dude that likes mopeds". (edited)

Grow the fuck up you whiny baby.

Tri-ped Dave O.D.B. /

I hope you used non detergent oil in the transmission. The weight is not nearly as important as non detergent. I use ND 30 in all my Morinis for almost 50 years now ( not exaggerating I am 64). Detergent oil eats the seals. No joke

Live Evil,

All I can say with full honesty is that I am sorry If I missed your messages. I only have 2 items for sale on MA, one for the T-Shirts I sell on my website and one for some Pacer tank decals. So I am assuming your request was related to one of these.

Going forward I will work to be more responsive when posting sale things on MA.

Tri-Ped Dave,

How do you deal with the weight(thickness) of ND 30? I am not as big a fan of the 30 and use 20 but with it going out of style its been harder and harder to find.

I did, the auto parts guys were surprised, they got me a 30w since 20 is no longer made.

Re: Pacer SS

It's Wandering Pacer, not "Wondering Pacer". It could be your difficulty with spelling that is the cause of your problem.

No not really,

More like your lack of understanding the proper word context I used above^^^.

Reading is fundamental.

In one Minarelli manual, it says HD 30 for the transmission. I have run detergent oil in my Morinis and no ill results.

I'll stick with non-detergent 30 weight normally.

Re: Pacer SS

Got it running, hitting an easy 28. but the kickstand is wonky as hell, looks like a giraffe drinking water.

Can anyone give me any tips on how to fix this stand? Is the rectangular plate that the kickstand stops against supposed to be more vertical? Can I drill it and stick a rubber grommet and a bolt to make up the space? or Torch it bend it forward and reweld?

Re: Pacer SS

It's mopeds . Do what ever it takes to make it work the way you like .

Looks like you should be worrying about a rear tire before a center stand .

Re: Pacer SS

. Chudas. /

I just got it last Monday, I know the tires are shit, getting some soon but Im trying to fix everything in my power that I can fix before throwing money at it. Just wondering what it is supposed to look like, I dont wanna overlook something and over complicate it like I usually do.

Re: Pacer SS

I'd do the same .

Does the stand go too far forward ?

If so , I'd probably clean the rust off the bump plate and stick a couple of self adhesive rubber bump stops on it . If you need more , you might think about snagging one of those blown off auto suspension bump stops laying along the road and cutting it to 'custom fit your stand or take a trip to your local hardware store and see what they might have to accommodate your needs and wants . ;).

Re: Pacer SS

. Chudas. /

Yeah too far forward.

The self adhesive is a good idea, see what i mean? i was thinking of a bolt and nut and adjusting by turning it in or out, too much for such a small obstacle.

Thanks mang

Re: Pacer SS

Hey , if ya have a bolt and nut , along with the drill and tap to do the job , why not ?

I was just spit balling ideas .

Anyway , you're welocom . ;)

The Frame bends with the kick stands on the Pacer SS models. I have a couple like this. I did use the nut and bolt idea which works but don't sit on the bike with the kick stand down. This includes trying to pedal start it on the stand. This will just bend it more. I haven't spent a lot of time figuring out a more perm fix yet. Its on my list.

Ike, it's not worth it. He never wanted anything from me other than to rag on my work. (https://www.mopedarmy.com/forums/read.php?1,4100942) I was able to find his previous user name, Pacer Racer.

Wow get over yourself bruh,

The messages sent to you were in reference to purchasing an unmolested Pacer not about your "work". You've got plenty of time to jump on here but no time to respond to messages pertaining to a business transaction.

Chudas,

I apologize for cluttering up your thread.

Re: Pacer SS

I'll try to get you a picture of how a previous owner reinforced the stand stop on my wife's ss. They welded in threaded rod. Probably what they had, but it's sturdy, I'm not heavy, but at 155lbs it's rock solid. I kick start it on the stand and sit on it all the time, no issues.

First, there is nothing to get over, I simply would prefer not to argue. Second, in that thread mentioned, the comments did feel like a dig at my personal choice of how I decided to decorate my bike. and Lastly, I have never offered nor will I offer any of my Pacers for sale. There are plenty of them out there from various other people who wouldn't mind selling one.

I am not trying attack anyone, just stating facts. I would prefer to bury the hatchet and move forward with a shared love of Pacers. Take that as you will, I leave it in your hands.

Agreed,

I'm moving forward with the acquisition of the dealer tools I needed to complete an ZA50 MKII resto. I doubt the build quality of the Puch will disappoint. Regardless, there will always be a place in my heart for what I owned new in 1980.

Re: Pacer SS

Charles McCusker /

Cool, I'll try and grab a decent picture tonight after work. I was repairing the center stand last week after the bolt made an exit and noticed the reinforcement for the first time. Didn't really put two and two together until last night reading this thread.
