i have a 1979 tomos bullet it wasnt getting gas then i ajusted the bango to give it gas then it ran. then i noteced the gas switch was off? so i turned it on and it staled out so i took off the gas line to see if t was letting gas out and it was. so it runes for a little while with the gas switch off then whil its running with the gas switch off and when i turn the gas on it stalles..... is it getting to much gas? what do i have to do to fix this it sucks:(

Most of the threads seem to be along the lines of "this is happening, someone tell me why so I don't have to think or read or do anything myself."
Obviously you have determined that having the gas turned on kills the engine so it has to be some kind of a flooding problem. Unless the choke is stuck on you know you are going to have to bite the bullet and pull the carb.
Just do it.

You want to explain where in here you say you took everything apart? Btw, while you had everything apart, did you happen to notice if the choke was stuck on or the float was sunk or stuck?

no nothing was stuck. i fixed it though...listen i feel really bad about all this i know im an ass im really sorry im just a hopeless fuck.

well, if you fuel valve is broken, so even at off it give gas, and you adjusted the float to let in the gas faster, when you put the gas to on, it lets gas faster. this would probably flood your carb. readjust the float back to the origional position
