Re: Fantic joy chopper cruiser

Had to extend the brake stop on the Sebring forks to work with the yamy wheel.

Re: Fantic joy chopper cruiser

would love to see how she's looking today! I'm planning a similar build myself ya know :p

Re: Fantic joy chopper cruiser

Got a stock Sebring bottom triple from my buddy Pat. The one I had had been chopped and threads pushed to fit a concord/issimo frame so it was too short for the joy. Now I need to push the threads on the stock one then chop a tiny bit off but I don't have a die yet. I think I need a 25mm x 1 pitch. If I'm wrong and you know the right size let me know. Same forks as a Sebring or Raven morinis I'm pretty sure.

Re: Fantic joy chopper cruiser

Got some goodies in the mail from DOS the other day. Another joy motor, yamy rear sprocket, some wheel tensioners for all my subframes and some c2 oil plugs to put some nipples in. An another joy but gonna have to wait to pick it up cause of the Rona.

Re: Fantic joy chopper cruiser

Looked in the exhaust port and noticed some extra transfers so I took the head off and it's looking like a surprise 75cc top kit. Only stamp I found was on the head, "minarelli pyramid logo, 1TM". Chad pointed out the top possibility and it seems right. So now I'm gonna have to put it on something.

Re: Fantic joy chopper cruiser

Joys got some weird stuff going on with it. Rear turn signals, wrong wheels (spokes and wrong side brake on the rear) and a non black head/cylinder (maybe the paint was taken off) so maybe another mystery kit.

Re: Fantic joy chopper cruiser

Yamy sprocket is too toasted for running but now I can take accurate measurements for replacement and wheel/chain/engine alignment.

Re: Fantic joy chopper cruiser

Made a seat hinge out of an old door hinge. Probably gonna held some bolts to the seat pan to bolt to the hinge otherwise if I welded the hinge to the seat I wouldn't be able to pull the hinge pin or take the plate off the seat. Might slot the seat bolt holes for small adjustments. This hinge will allow me to put the stock seat back on if I ever want to restore it and reweld the seat platform.

Re: Fantic joy chopper cruiser

Drilled some bolt holes for the cruiser pegs. Holes are gonna get drilled out more for threaded tubes to be welded in to give the bolts a strong anchor. Just messing around with the kx forks.

clever

Re: Fantic joy chopper cruiser

I just really like that your hwy pegs are going to have a foot brake in it!

Re: Fantic joy chopper cruiser

Got lucky the rear set had the hole to rig a foot brake cause the handlebar controls I'm using don't have a clutch lever so the left control will engage the clutch.

Re: Fantic joy chopper cruiser

Got some more fabricating and engineering done. Pretty proud of this.
