Misery ? It's just a cheaper form of fun than the antique machines that this site is dedicated to . And , exactly where do you think mopeds got their start ? ;)

Re: Stolen Motorized Bicycle

That’s like saying humans are evolved from chimpanzees.

They suck, you need to dedicate one hour for each 5 miles you ride to wrenching on the piece of shit.

Motorized bikes or Mopeds?

Re: Stolen Motorized Bicycle

Obviously , some of you don't know what you have .

"The earliest mopeds were bicycles with a helper motor in various locations... "

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moped

And , so what if it's a POS . So is your moped , according to those who prefer something a bit more 'permanent' .

How many hours have you 'invested' in your moped ?

It doesn't matter , if you perceive what enjoyment you get to be worth it .

Re: Stolen Motorized Bicycle

... Anyhow Micah, hope you get your ride back in one piece.

Re: Stolen Motorized Bicycle

that sucks dude. stump jumper probably used to be a real fun bike.

plus all the effort of trying to make those kits work

also, it's hard not to talk trash about what shit those china motor setups are, but this isn't really an appropriate venue - let the dude get his shit back, then shame him for it lol.

And certainly it's not a moped, and the differentiation is wholly worthwhile, especially since there are other forums dedicated to those type of bikes which are better informed and more enthused about them. However it is totally legit in my opinion to post here cuz I'm 100% in favor of dude getting stolen shit back, and we are all regularly scouring the classified everywhere for scooters/mopeds and would also be pretty likely to spy this if it popped up.

I ramble. good luck

Re: Stolen Motorized Bicycle

I'll tell you what...…………..when I was 12-15 yrs. old, riding my 3-speed English racer probably 30 miles a week in hilly terrain, I would've gladly wrenched on that bike and worked for gas money just for the enjoyment of having an engine.

Don't put the guy's bike down. It's a moped in the strict sense and has motor and pedals. I WOULD make sure to have some lights on it though.

Re: Stolen Motorized Bicycle

I agree. Don't put that build down.

It's just the spoonfull that will have him back for the full bag.

Come little one. Come over to this side. Here, I can loan you one of mine.

Re: Stolen Motorized Bicycle

OK NOW GRAB HIM AND GET HIS PANTS DOWN!

Woah. This thread just got creepy.

Sucks that it got stole'd.. If I were to do a motorized bike build it'd be either a moped frame or banana bike.
