Bike model clarification

Scott Hargreaves /

Hi,

I posted earlier about my garelli junior turismo and it is confirmed the bike I have (blue one below) is indeed that model (1972).I have the chance to buy the white one below and it is also listed as a 1977 garelli junior turismo and has some stickers on bike to suggest this.

A bit of research suggests it may be a monza gt.

Any clues to its true identity would be appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Bike model clarification

Interesting, kickstart and rear foot break. Also I don’t think I’ve ever seen one with a rear rack.

Re: Bike model clarification

I have decided on getting it.All paid for and will pick up on 16th.The seller has the original italian logbook that does state it’s a junior turismo but I can’t find anything on the internet that can confirm this.

That’s the reason for asking.I think I got it for a great price as I love the look and condition looks pretty good alough I have only seen the pictures.

Thanks

Monza GT's are cool bike, especially that kickstart. The problem is there's not much in the way of performance parts for them, so you have to either be good at fabrication or content with going slow

After quite extensive searching I have found theese photos which suggest it might be as the seller states,a garelli junior turismo.

Thanks Scott

Fuckin' sweet bikes!!! Congrats.

Re: Bike model clarification

The white one is a junior turismo. 4 speed manual transmission. It shares the plastics with a Monza GT but the 4 speed makes the world of difference.

Happy days.I can’t wait to pick it up.

Now down to the business end.I paid £800,does that sound reasonable.

Thanks Scott

Re: Bike model clarification

IMO I wouldnt blink at that price just 'cause we dont have those here.

Yet I'm sure one of our perpetually aggrieved elderly and/or senile members will soon chime in with screen grabs and tales of how those are only worth $150 in their middle of nowhere shitburg of a town.

Fuck 'em, that bikes rad.
