6v vs 12v relay flasher

Jaxon Andrews /

So I have a 12v 80w iskra AET magneto flywheel on my a35. I don't have turn signals on it yet but I'm planning to put some on soon (just in the rear maybe some up front in the future). As for the relay flasher, should I go with the 12v? would the 6v just not work? I've tried to read up on it but for some reason I just can't comprehend the electronic lingo.

I'm going to tell you a secret two 6 volt and the 12 volt electrical systems are identical you don't even have to change your bulbs your regulator will automatically adjust so basically any 12 volt or 6 volt is interchangeable when it comes to things like high tension coils bulbs switches sensors flashers condensers resistors will all work identical on a 6 volt and a 12 volt system hey and if you blow a 6 volt bulb you replace it with a 12

Thank you!

Just go with 12v. If you use 6V you're going to have different internal resistances and different currents running through the stuff you use. You can calculate the internal resistance of the part you're using based on the power rating, or you can just buy 12v and slap it on an it'll work fine.

thanks man, will any 12v relay flasher do, or are there other specifications?
