Chappy Lb50 motor swap

Hi everybody thanks for letting me join. I am not sure if this has discussed before but if it is has bear with me. So I have the opportunity to get a late 70’s Chappy 50 and I was wondering how hard it would be to put a qt50 motor in it. Thanks any help is appreciated.

Re: Chappy Lb50 motor swap

I would think it would be more trouble than it is worth? The QT-being shaft drive and all...what is wrong with the Chappy?

Re: Chappy Lb50 motor swap

The one that is for sale is almost mint and that was not the one I was gonna do it to it come with a parts bike though that I thought I could possibly turn it into almost a zombie bike I don’t know though I am new to this stuff

buy them both and keep the 2nd as a parts bike (edited)

Re: Chappy Lb50 motor swap

^ Yeah, do that, but be warned, 50cc Chappys are shitty bikes to ride on the street, very slow, good campground machines, fun to ride, but not fast enough for modern traffic. QT-50 can be made fast enough for street use.

Completely different motors altogether.

PW80 to LB50 is something I am working on now.

Sounds like a cool swap! You should post a thread about the swap.
