change in vermont mail-in registration?

Luigi Garzone /

Has anyone done a vermont registration recently?

I used to get a registration card in the mail, followed by plates.

This time around I got a plate mailed to me, but instead of a true registration card they mailed me back the registration form that I filled out, with a "filed by DMV" stamp + my new plate number written in.

Wondering if I should be expecting a "true" registration in the mail separately, as i'd like to have as much official paperwork as possible to transfer for a NJ title

Why not take what you have to your local DMV and see what they say or what happens ?

Then please report your findings here . :)

I sent mine in over a week ago and they haven’t cashed my check still. Filled the directions on the wiki, anxiously checking my back account in the hopes it’s going through.

That sounds legitimate just probably a change in process. How long did it take for you? Not expecting miracles out of any states DMV. Looking forward to not riding dirty.

Jack my check was cashed 2 weeks on the dot, so give it another week and keep an eye on your bank account to see if the check clears

Re: change in vermont mail-in registration?

You’ll get your registration card and plate sticker about a week after you get the plate.

Yeah I just used Vermont to get a title on a Ninja in the fall and it took like 1-2 weeks to get the registration/sticker after the plate.

What Moped Lar said. I did 3 in the last 6 months and this is exactly how it happened.

Re: change in vermont mail-in registration?

Same. I got the plate first then the registration a week later

Re: change in vermont mail-in registration?

I don't understand. Why do a lot of mopeders register their bikes thru Vermont?

About a month ago it worked for me. Received registration paper work and license plate then a week later received the sticker.

Registered in my state (Texas) no issue and also received a title!!! Can't praise this site enough for helping me get this done.

Re: change in vermont mail-in registration?

came in 2 mailings, a week apart for me.

Stop looking at your watch and start looking at the calendar, it is a old school procedure so you have to be old folk patient ;)

Hi there I just received my plates in mail along with the registration form I originally sent them also with a DMV stamp as well, so I'm hoping that they send me a transferable registration. Also no that I have the plates I'm not sure if I can ride my bike since I dont have a registration to present to the police if I'm stop.

Re: change in vermont mail-in registration?

You will receive it in about a week.

The amount might vary with every application .

Just add the amounts you have entered on your paper work .
