Redcote: opinions?

Has anyone used redcote to repair rusty in-frame tanks that have pin holes?

Re: Redcote: opinions?

I used KBS coatings kit and had a great result.

Re: Redcote: opinions?

Caswell will seal holes the size of a quarter. Best stuff ever.

Re: Redcote: opinions?

Red cote can work....but you must prep hard and follow directions exactly, it sucks if you mess it up, you think rust clogged your jet? Caswell.

Mix well!!!! I've worked with marine epoxies before, so I have the routine down, but I had a crazy slow cure on the Caswell epoxy that the only thing I can think was I didn't mix it well enough.

Re: Redcote: opinions?

Caswell ftw. Just treated a maxi tank and was very pleased with results

Re: Redcote: opinions?

caswell is the best and only product i trust. i is an real hard Plasticine resin liner..best product no question...just tape over holes and do the process.

I've used redkote a bunch—simple but def not permanent. So much more forgiving if you fuck up than Caswell

Re: Redcote: opinions?

Caswell 100%

Don't fuck around: Caswell and follow the directions to a T.

Also, If you don't have everything you need sitting in front of you, don't even open the can. With good prep and timing everything right you get an amazingly strong coating.
