Yz 85 ciao like an ugly girl with makeup!
Im gonna buy you a mig!
Harbor Freight flux core welder was the best $90 I’ve ever spent. Its not really good for anything structural, but it’s great for exhausts if you don’t mind it looking like shit. Maybe a better operator could make it look good, I’m far being a good welder.

I've got lots of friends who are very skilled welders, but a lot of the time I can make a better weld with a bad welder. Like my skillset is on shitty equipment, but if you know your equipment you can get by pretty well. still I couldn't ever come close to the art they can finesse out of a proper welder.
^^^Me too....hahah
I love my crappy HF welder.
pretty much any time i put a pipe on a bike i cut the header off , clean it up, bolt the header down, bolt the mount down, let them sit where they want to sit, and re-weld them so they match perfecto.
The ZA's are way off from an E50 mounting point so you really gotta do it if you want your exhaust to seal up good, plus these proma GP's are way off.
This time i cut the 2.5 inches off the header that sticks into the chamber, and cut it back another 1.5 inches so it would go into the last bolt hole, making it about 4" total shorter header.
I love this cheap ass tecno boss pipe mated to an express header. Not good for anything but top end but for the money, it does pretty good.

pipe was as big as the bike, but worked well. that thing was super fun
I have a pipe addicition. as in I smoke pipes, like tobacco. It's great. I don't always but honestly some days I just want a smoke and so that get's me to go out to the garage where the pipes live, and then I wind up working on stuff. so very definitely, my pipe addiction is a big motivator to getting me to work on mopeds some days.
I am a pipe hoarder. I think I own 8 or so pipes that actually don't have a bike to go on... they are just there. More recently been buying nice scooter pipes to replace all the whack moped pipes
Swoop pipe.......................

yeah like, i own pipes for mopeds and motorcycles that i have never nor do i plan on owning... like... why do i have a kymco ZX technigas pipe?
I built this 'wall of pipes' hanger brace thingy in my shop to hang them all up out of the way. Its got nails on both sides and i run some hardware wire through the pipe and hang it on a hook. The big hooks hold tires and wheels and forks. Pic is from right after i built it, there's probably 10-15 pipes on there, 3 sets of forks and about 10 wheels, and a bunch of handlebars and racks all hanging off that one lil' 2x4 and taking up zero space.
Need a volvo 850T intercooler to add to the pile there?
Bump. Just bought a cheapo welder and now super regret selling a pipe i didnt think i needed and tossing an old stock pipe. Ugh.
Show me some hack welds.
i miss scootertrash
I have like 16 pipes hanging in the current garage. I'll have to get a photo when I get there next. After the monsoon dies down
