I found this 45 tooth sprocket vs the normal 40 tooth has anyone ever used one
what do they fit?
45 Tooth is standard equipment on stock 2hp Puch E50's.
Not that you are asking about ratios , but , in the big bike world , we usually figure dropping one tooth in the front is very close to adding 4 teeth in the rear .
Maybe you're asking if there would be any chain clearance issues ?
I have 2 speed puchs with 5 stars and they are 40

Yep, Stock gearing fo ZA50 1.5/2HP is 40 rear.
If I put the 45 and change the chain would it make that much of a difference
Never seen a Puch with anything different than 45 in the Rear.
Harry take a look at this gearing calculator it should help.

Better take off and slower top end most of the time

Acceleration would increase quite a bit, but your top speed would decrease. Typically, I go the other way with ZA's, especially with flipped second speed clutches
Yea, your za50/polini should be running 20x35 gears or so.

I run 21x35 on polini kit 4 pedal reed cage and derestricted estroil pipe flipped second gear clutch on za50 and go 55-60 mph all day long and that’s with static points ignition and around 14° BTDC timing!
Ken you don't quote someone then add words to their statement. It makes it not a quote anymore when you do that.

Maybe you should read his post again .
Seems to me he's stating what he runs as a comparison .
Its not that big of a deal, but he did add a words to my statement in the quotations from my original post.

Dude the chain is going to count the teeth. 16x45 & 11x40 are the same.

Actually, the 16/45 is closer to a 14/40 or so.
Never thought I'd say this, but Don is right

Yea I know if you look at the spreed sheet rpms I posted it says that.
Math
45/5=9
40/5=8
16/5=3.2
11/5=2.2
Does anyone know why this happens?

It's simple math : Division .
And , the chain doesn't matter . It gets adjusted to the sprockets that are chosen .
I wasn't sure exactly what the OP was asking , so I offered ...
