Make your own clown nose air filter

My polini filter broke off my carb, so I made this from a microphone windscreen.

Had to trim off the open end, and it fits tight over the rubber base of the old filter, so I didn't have to silicone it on.

I've done this before and it works great. Breathes free and keeps the crap out, and costs 4 bucks.

Shoot! I've been looking for a foam like that..... Dunno why I didn't think about that... Where'd it come from?

Re: Make your own clown nose air filter

Fairly certain that any music supply store would have them locally....check mom n pops first. But guitar center has em'

some foam breaths different than others.

poke a lot of pin holes in it and lightly oil the outside.

do a plug check of course.

an older nylon sock over it & another plug check.

Chines clone filter

Works great on phbg carbs (edited)

Re: Make your own clown nose air filter

I got it from Sam Ash down the street from me.

And it breathes fine. And probably costs less than nylon socks. And already has enough holes in it. And don't over-think it.
