666 Tomos that was at Buzzards rally

Who was that? It's for sale locally now, I'm thinking of grabbing it, and I'm wondering what's up with the bike. The shocks broke already from the dumb mounting angle.

I don't have any pics, he was at the Buzzards rally, I remember talking to him. I think he was from Charleston? Myrtle Beach?

Stepthrough Tomos, real ratty looking. 666 in big mailbox type stickers on the tank. Hydraulic forks, disk brake, banana spoke front wheel, Tecnigas pipe, dual bullet tailights off to one side that make it look like you're using a turn signal everytime you brake. Fabbed rectangular tube swingarm with the shock mounts way wider than stock, frame mounts weren't matched so now the shocks are broken, which is why dude is selling it because he does t want to deal with things. I was hoping I could track down a build thread or something, try to an idea of what’s going on inside without having to open up the engine. Tomos is too damn common to find anything via search though, lol.

Damn, you responded while I was typing, lol.

It’s here in Savannah, a friend of mine’s student has it. I don’t know what kind of dollar figure he has on it, he’s willing to trade me for my XL70. Then I’d finally be rid of four strokes!

It's streetmateR front end, swing arm and shocks. A35 50cc (no porting) airsal A55 head, I think polini Reed, blue first gear spring yellow 2nd if I remember correctly and 26-22 or 20 gearing, 18 mom intake, 19phbg, technigas pipe

Cool... that’s pretty much the kind of info I was wanting.

Did you braze the fuel tank at some point?

The moped gods want me to die in a ball of fire.

Re: 666 Tomos that was at Buzzards rally

The dude who rode it wrecked it a bunch. You can sell it back to me if you want

Lol, nah, not yet at least. I’m having fun sorting it out. It amazes me that the kid I got it from was riding it in the state it was in. He, probably, got the better end of the trade.

Work, whine whine whine, I don’t think any of us have m-f, 9-5ers... Tax return money and spring fever have most of us super busy. Weekends off are a bitch for me since that’s when I make money.

Hell, we have a member that just moved up that way but he’s all flakey.
