Wow! How'd the tire shred like that? Drive on it for a few miles? Just curious. I've had tube tires explode within bias plies, but rarely tubeless.

yeah its the same pipe as stock maxi

that will clean up no prob, pintos are nice, at the very least you got frame, tank, and a rebuildable e50

It works, the Bracket or whatever you cal it on the Maxi pipe is just different, it works the same.

i know what you are talking about now, it has like a captured nut inside it... i don't think we got them on regular maxis over here... maybe maxi N's (rigid) had them?

i dunno, we're confusing the dude, maxi and pintos all run the exact same exhaust pipe in USA. you could just replace the header too but every moped person literally has a pile of this junk.

Ok, let me try to answer some questions.

The fenders are plastic, stupid, brittle, old plastic crap. On a GM Flagship car, yes, Oldsmobile 98 was a top of the line auto back in 94.

All the tires on the car are were very old. The front driver's side developed some weird type of bulge and became very shaky before I had to replace it.

Then all was well until the passenger tire blew,, in hindsight the car did kind of vibrate but I thought it was a wheel weight that came off.

Anyhow my wife and I were going about 70mph when it exploded. It sounded like a 12gauge shotgun, my wife claims she saw the tread roll in front of the car and into a ditch.

It really didn't cause the car to go out of control or anything, I just eased off the road ,inspected the damage, and the tire was still inflated, albeit without any tread. It rode on the steel belts while I carefully drove to the walmart tire shop.

I need to get the rears changed asap. The funny thing is I knew I needed new tires and I remember walking through a parking lot with my wife and I commented look at all those new cars. I would be happy just with new tires, lol.

Anyhow, being a substitute teacher sucks, $10/hr unsteady pay. If I go somewhere else and work really hard, maybe I get $13 an hour or so, , not worth it. I'm going to just wait and go back to college for 2 more years and get a decent job. Or maybe I'll just save up take a couple of CompTia A+ tests, get certified, and do I.T., I'm worried with my luck it may not pay much more, lol.

So.....yes, I need to get better job, new tires, fix my car, fix my truck (Bad 4L60e) fix the mopeds, remodel the bathroom, install a hard water treatment system, go moped riding, and back to college, and save the world while I'm at it. (This sentiment has made me think of the Moped Monday podcast and how many people new to the scene just ghost) noobs getting into mopeds probably are not really settled well in life and they're busy trying to get everything in order like me.

I'm appreciative for the stock pipe, It would allow me to fix the bike faster. And then when I'm in the chips I can consider upgrading parts and passing the stock stuff on to someone else.

I bought the bike knowing full well it wouldn't be ideal for me to drop money on it, but it's really cool and rare here, and will wait happily in the garage with the hope of being repaired instead of in a field, possibly awaiting being crushed. (edited)

I've never seen them riding around here, not once, . however I did manage to acquire broken ones in my childhood/teens.

and I grew up in Galveston, which happens to be a pretty hip place aside from Austin.

Luis Moreno Have you ever speculated on why they're more rare here. I'm 32 and I grew up in Galveston. When I was a kid circa late 90s early 2000s we would find broken mopeds in the alleys of Galveston. I remember grabbing a broken qt50, urban express, hobbit and a ts400. Going to the scrap yard was appalling there would be small bikes and the people would worked there would not allow anyone to buy them, at all, no matter pleading or bargaining.

There were also many deals to be had, I remember my dad buying me a mint 1977 express that needed the points filed for $75 on eBay, I had a cb360 I bought for cheap before the prices became astronomical. ..

Anyhow, it makes me think that there was at least a somewhat decent supply. Was it ever the same as the midwest probably not...but here in Texas the little bikes were not appreciated, rode hard, and ditched... Meanwhile there were moped scenes going way back elsewhere..

Another note: My brother and I had a couple of 3wheelers and occasionally we would ride them up and down the alleys..not fast or anything..next thing you know all hell would break loose. I remember seeing patrol cars literally power sliding into the alleys trying to catch us... so it makes me think many peds were likely impounded

I know that you got it from a motorcycle scrapyard but just to keep you from spending a pile of money on it, I would run the serial number past your local department of motor vehicles to see if it shows as stolen.

I ran it through this website as well and it said no history found.
