So I bought this box of goodies had it shipped just to have a hole in the tank in a odd ass spot! So odd of a spot I know the person I got it from had no idea. (edited)
That sucks! That's why I never buy peds sight unseen. Hopefully you can get the hole brazed up.

True. All my peds had some type of crazy problem. I think they find me because they know some how or some way I'll fix them.
Now waiting on a shipment.....
COOL. I'm working on two separate "vespa" wet-bois.
I wont hate on the bars, but I am certain that on a long ride, the bars will hate on you! Nice work on the tank!

We'll see about the bars. I'm 6'3 with long arms so maybe not? Thank about the tank. I had a tear in my eye when I poured vinegar in the tank and is started running on the floor in my shop and I didn't waist any. I really wanted the bike so what else was there to do?

Same thing happened to me on a moby awhile back....except it was precious evaporust leaking onto the floor. I soldered the hole with radiator solder i had, worked like a charm.

I know exactly how you felt.
Man, I've had all these bikes and never a gas tank leak. WHAT am I doing right? Marathon gas? Maybe.

"No matter when, no matter where, Marathon will take you there!"
I saw that commercial of a bunch of youngsters in a no-door jeep wrangler flyin down the highway arms up like 8 years ago, still stuck in my head

If you look at the pics you will see it had nothing to do with the gas. Something got behind the bracket and rusted from the outside in.

At Brandon...…….LOL! They still play that on radio.
Stephen, that tank was externally rotted, but you've seen these terrible rusty tanks, right? None of mine look bad like that.
