Sparatic speedometer needle

I have a new tomos sprint moped. Bought it brand new. Is it normal for the needle on the speedometer to be bouncing around as I accelerate?

Speedo cable probably has a kick in it or the lube has dryed up. Pull the inner cable out of the cable housing and bend the housing and inner cable straight separately. Clean off old lube from iner cable and fllush out the cable housing. Lightly lube and reassemble.

Totally normal JBOT /

Lol sporadic

You could have bent tabs in the speedo gear assembly in the front wheel

Mine jumps but it doesn't bother me. I like when it's pegged on the backside of the 0mph pin and it's tappin that ass like a jackrabbit

Always the rare chance the magnetic wheel in the housing has grit, or worse metal grit in it, causing it to magnetically grab more from time to time, had it happen. I'd bet its the cable first though.

Moped speedos are notorious. Ignore it
