I've got the opportunity to purchase one... reasonable price I feel. Just wanted to hear what you all think about them.

Minarelli good, check the chrome and spokes on the wheels, make sure the tank isn't rusting out hopefully its not seized, if it is usually the crank bearings need to be replaced. Not too hard to rebuild. They're basically the simplest fully contained moped engine. Sachs are a close second.
Right on.
That's a nice find, anything with a Minarelli v1 is good to have and work on or upgrade. I've had several v1 motors that never needed anything more than a new condenser or starter plate and they just kept running. Solid Italian built moped I'd buy it depending on condition vs cost
Can I ask the condition of it, is it running?
Well that s.o.b did exactly what I would have done, sold it to the first guy with cash...it was worthy of a full restore.. didn't run, had thump, missing a piece of plastic above the motor, and a small fixable dent in tank close to gas cap... it was a keeper. Next time I won't hesitate

Nowadays you have to act immediately to get a decent price on a moped. But for the future anything with a V1 on it is a solid bet of a bike. You know you can get that motor running and keep parts flowing to keep it running.
I had a Baretta Magnum once. It was ackward and different. I would buy another but there are cooler machines out there.

What’s “had thump” mean ?
That's a bummer Brandon, don't sleep on the next one
Ah Ken, he used a thump tester and it was a thumpin' whilst not seized

Compression...
"Had thump". Never heard that one before. For compression. I like it.
