This is not a Rally, don’t expect loaners, don’t expect housing, don’t expect free food and free beer, do expect a really good time. If you want housing contact your friends here, if you don’t have any of those here, we will gladly give you advice as to place to stay and maybe next time you will have some friends here to. There is a registration (will be posted later, will be waiver and bill of sale for your bike), there is no fee, registered riders may receive a gift to commentate the event.

This will also be your chance to see this year’s round of BLKBLK prospects (7 of them) complete their final challenge to get patched in, who will get in is yet to be determined.

The event will take place Saturday April 20th 2019 in Denver Colorado. There will be get togethers planned for Thursday the 18th and Friday the 19th in the evenings but nothing major. Thursday night there will be the opportunity to buy projects if you need one (I’ll explain this later). Sunday there is nothing official planned but I’m sure there will be people hanging out during the day.

The Event:

The Colfax Killer – a "dice run" down what Playboy magazine once called "the longest, wickedest street in America" starting in Stasburg, CO going west to Golden, CO 52 miles end to end. This is a “Winner” takes all bikes “dice run” for pinks. 1st bike and rider to finish the ride will be the “winner” their bike inspected at the end of the ride to ensure fair play. if violations of the rules are found that rider forfeits the winning and their bike to the next "finishing" rider.

The winning rider is awarded ALL OTHER competing bikes, EXCEPT the winning bike, which is awarded to the rider with the best combed dice score (Cee-lo rules) gathered at each stop.

The winning rider can decide if they want to keep all the bikes they won or sell them back to participants/others at the swap meet to recoup their expenses and generate some winnings (and keep some friends).

Saturday night we will be having a get together for all participants and friends (again it will be BYOB but the venue will be selling food and beverages), location will be announced later.

The Rules:

-Stock moped or noped engines on actual moped or noped frames (no scoots, no shifty’s, no “custom frames”, no bicycle frames, you know what we mean)

-Stock factory 50cc topends (cylinder and head)

-1 performance part allowed per bike (carb, pipe, ignition, variator, clutch) NO KITS!!! Everything else must be a stock part for that engine

-There will be mandatory stops, at each stop riders must shut off bike, park and then roll the dice, a BLKBLK rep will record the score, riders must have a score recorded at each stop to be considered a “finisher”, some stops may have additional or bonus challenges.

-All participants must have the “Glympse” app as there will be live GPS tracking so people at home can watch the excitement (maybe place wagers).

-All riders are participating of their own free will and all choices and decisions are their own. We as club hope everyone rides safe and follows all rules of the road (we do not condone illegal activity or dangerous riding*)

-If you plan on winning bring a trailer, we will not help store the winnings

-participants should bring all titles and registration for their bikes (if they have it) and bikes should be street legal (again we do not condone illegal activity* you make your own choices)

Projects available:

Thursday night is Moped night here in Denver, BLKBLK will be hanging out at Ricks shop to greet anyone that comes to town early and we will have a bunch of cheap project bikes and rollers available for participants to buy and build up for the ride on Saturday. There will be a list of projects posted in the next week or two, but if you are looking for something specific, i.e. you have a running stock AV7 on the shelf but no frame, send us and email and we can try to find a cheap frame for you to buy and use for the Colfax Killer.

Haha, that's funny cause my response to the idea at first was "what the fuck am I going to do with 30 stock mopeds". Even if I were to win I can promise I won't be keeping all the winnings, with my lack of time lately I doubt I'll be a contender.

the whole stock thing though, i mean, does the stock engine have to be from the same bike? does it have to be a USA model engine (3 xfer 103 or av10,etc?) we all know derbi revo and start motors are a fucking scooter but they run them in 'stock moped' racing.

i think if you're gonna say 'stock' you gotta mean 'a stock moped sold and titled in USA as a moped using its original engine model all original equipment, save for one performance part'

a mbk rcx motor is pretty considerably different from a US model av7, the big loophole all the guys doing stock moped racing use is basically taking derbi scooter parts that are theoretically the same and using them in a stock moped class.

i anticipate a lot of people showing p with 'stock' urban expresses, haha

If someone wants to bring a rare/hot engine/bike and give it away when they "win" that's up to them as long as it fits in the rules listed. Would you trade a Revo for 20 sachs/tfr/puchs? Not I, but someone would.

NU50 has been my pick as the winner since Shawn started the discussion, wish I had one, I'll be running an e50 just cause I have so many and can live with loosing one.

Frames and engines don't have to match but both have to be "moped/noped".

Stock to the model of bike you are using... if you are adding "stock" scooty parts to a different bike.. your out. if you feel like your doing something tricky, you probably are and will get called out.
