it sure is. i was kidding.

Re: Benelli build Tourismo Time

That 'new' header is almost as big as the piston .

Not sure it would allow enough flow ... LOL

Re: Benelli build Tourismo Time

SAE30 oil.

Re: Benelli build Tourismo Time

I’d go for something like 20/50. Straight weight oil tends to get too thin when it heats up.

Re: Benelli build Tourismo Time

If that has a wet clutch , I'd use 15w40 diesel oil .

Works real well in my FA50 and Yamaha XT350 .

A lot of guys like it in the big Honda bikes .

Re: Benelli build Tourismo Time

I use Rotella T 15w40 in every bike I have, 2 or 4 stroke. Works great and its super cheap.

Re: Benelli build Tourismo Time

cant wait to see it running

make sure to post vids asap

Typically they called for SAE20 or SAE30.

If you haven't replaced the seals with modern seals, I would follow that. Some of the additives in modern synthetics can swell the old seals, which works fine for a bit but can fail.

Re: Benelli build Tourismo Time

The Benelli lives! Thanks for the oil recommendations, had to drain the atf i put in.

Still need to tune but my gut told me i should to learn to shift and stop first. I admit it, my brain from thinking, left hand from clutch pulling and right toe from downshifting kinda hurts, wahh wahh.

ive down jetted from 70 to 65 to 62, head temp still wont break 300. Just barely getting into the pipe, maybe i cut it too short for the big header not sure but i think itll be fine when the temps go up. Cruises at 35 in 3rd.

Odd thing, when in neutral u can kick start without it being in gear, dont have to pull clutch or nuthin, strange to my brain or maybe it just like any other tomos.

Worked on hetting electrics together, kill/lights, all on one master switch on headlight.

sorry no vdos.

Just like most motos, really. Just a reminder to go easy on the kicker. Lotsa people kick these small shifters over like they're cranking a panhead. You snap that little shaft and you'll be sad times.

Glad the bike's running tho

Those pedals work? Are you able to register it as a moped in CA?
