State of California population in 1978 was approx 22.8 million and today is twice that. All for an infrastructure designed over 15 years earlier than 1978. So the density of frustrated and or impaired drivers of autos and trucks all pissed off about something is now quite high. At least a true moped or ebike is free to navigate where they please. The added freature of an ebike is that anything including someone's front lawn is easily doable. The cub sure will be on the bike lane if there is any at some point.
But for folks that live in way less density but aren't subject to the necessityof overcrowded secondary roads and can zip around on quiet country lanes well damn that cub sounds perfect, as is nearly anything.
I confess to doing almost all my two wheeled activity's on mountain bikes or e mountain bikes. I love wrenching on my mopeds and who doesn't love the sounds and smells of well behaving two strokes. And a direct injection four stroke Honda. That's about as far as technology on a fossil fuel two wheeler is going to get so it's an icon unto itself and worthy of any collection. I guess the Jetsons will have a fuel cell version. Everything in the future is going to be electric. Regardless of what want to believe or not to BELIEVE re climate change ..by the time our grandkiddies get something I guarantee it won't be fossil fuel unless the co2 active sequestration and liquid co2 is pumped into a broth where photosynthesis is hijacked into growing fuel directly becomes the standard to reverse the 200 plus years of the industrial revolution and the subsequent blossoming of billions of humans.
