Really? Like all those groms you hear about with 'ECU's going out'
These things will be rock solid. The grom motor is pretty seriously dialed in. When has anyone had to 'Clean an EFI' system... i have a '99 subaru in my driveway right now that has sat for the last 3 years under a tree, fixed the spark plug wire and fired up first kick. The fuel systems are sealed and made of ethanol compliant materials.
I think ultimately at the 3500-5k price point, electrics will be taking over very soon but its nice to see honda putting some effort behind what will probably be the last iteration of this venerable design.
