I have the original dealer tools and I've never used them.

Cool, very single-purpose tool. I have swapped a bunch of springs and I don't think this tool is "needed" to do the job.

a 2" abs pipe w a slant cut and a clamp does the trick.

A vise 2 flathead screwdrivers and some vise grips do the job well. I just needed the tool to do it correctly.
