I need some clarification. This sounds too good to be true. If both the seller and the buyer reside in Florida, will Vermont issue a license plate and a registration with my name and my Florida address?

Yes
MASS dmv people need a better attitude..
they pick & choose who they will screw with.
Thanks. I just sent my application. I can't wait to see how this registration is handled by my local Florida DMV. They try to be difficult. Worse case, if I can't get the Florida registration, at least I have a out of state registration and a tag. If I get stopped, I would probably just get a warning.
YEAH..SORRY ocifFer...i just didn't know...doughnut?
it would probably work.
I thought in Fla all that was required was an affidavit stating ownership. Then they will issue a title unless it was titled already in Fla or its on the NCID. (stolen).
I went to the Florida DMV with a good Bill of Sale. They said since I did not have a registration or title, I needed an affidavit stating the moped had never been titled or registered in any state. I got that from the person I bought it from. Then, the next person I dealt with said I had to have an authorized person verify the serial number matched the Bill of Sale serial number. So, I brought the moped to the Dmv. The next person said since my moped was never titled or registered, they didn't know if it met safety and other requirements. They want me to contact a special group that would inspect it and make sure it was road worthy, then they would issue a new serial number and a registration. I tried to get them to look at the labels and tags on the moped. But, they did not want to deal with it. Every clerk and supervisor has their own interpretation of the rules.
Go to your state representative's office. They will help grease the right wheels.
