Fundraiser for Morgan's headstone

Hi everyone. It's hard to even type this, but I lost my best friend Morgan over the weekend. It is truly a tragedy for anyone that knew her, but also a loss for this community. Morgan LOVED mopeds and the people she had met through them. She had a Puch Maxi Sport MKII that was her baby, or as she called it "my green machine!". I still remember when I took her to go pick it up, she was so excited. I will never forget all those rides that followed, and all the times we got to share our love for these silly little bikes.

I am posting on here because I started a GoFundMe to raise money for a custom headstone. The idea is to get a silhouette of her bike engraved on the stone so it never leaves her side. She is survived by her grandparents who are doing what they can financially, but I know it is difficult for them. Anything is appreciated, this girl deserves the best.

Re: Fundraiser for Morgan's headstone

Max, I am sorry for your lost. I never got to ride or meet Morgan but I'm sending love to you and her family.

I have shared the GoFundMe via the Femme Pedals Instagram and on the "Ladies of MA" Facebook group. I hope you find peace and are able to give her the memorial she deserves.

I'm so sorry for your loss, having been there, reaching out is hard but helpful, I will pass the go fund me onto my local channels.

How did she die ?

Re: Fundraiser for Morgan's headstone

That's not really a relevant question though, now is it?

So relevant it’s not funny!

I mean as long as she wasn’t hit by a car or something !

The question is relevant, but rather insensitive.

Re: Fundraiser for Morgan's headstone

I meant no disrespect I was just wondering if she got hit by a car because I’m getting tired of these distracted cagers trying to take us all out !

Shit does go pretty fast from “it’s just mopeds” to damn this is life or death.

And it’s not just cagers causing it.

Re: Fundraiser for Morgan's headstone

Thought I would update everyone on this....

First of all thank you SO much to anyone on MA that contributed to this fund raiser. We received a lot of donations from the moped community which is truly amazing. Some from riders that never even met Morgan in person. The amount of support from everyone really put things into perspective. As silly as this hobby is, people showed support during this tough time and came together to make something amazing happen. We raised nearly $5000 for Morgan's grandparents to get her a head stone to honor her life.

She loved her Puch, so of course we had to put that on her stone. She also always loved butterflies and sunflowers so we were sure to put those on their too.

On the back is a sunset of Tybee Island in Savannah, GA. She lived there for a short time and always loved the sunsets. She never missed one.

Not to get all sentimental here, but no one is guaranteed tomorrow, so make the most of it everyday you wake up!!!!! RIP to all those who aren't here anymore
