Bat Grand Prix front brake cable

Having a hell of a time with my front brake cable on my Grand Prix... using a standard short front brake cable with the end stop ground down to fit the bat Grand Prix front brake lever. Cable seems to stick no matter how well lubed it is. I think it’s too long, but can’t find a Knarp That will Work to use a custom cable housing and cable to fit. What are you dudes using on your Grand Prix??

It’s a ripper and sucks not to be able to brake!

Re: Bat Grand Prix front brake cable

Have you inspected the front brake system ? You might pull the wheel and insure that the cam has not worn channels in the shoes . Or that the cam has not been worn to flat spots where it contacts the shoes . Or that the lever is not adjusted to tight , which brings the cam too far around and sticks .

You might also insure that the hand lever functions smoothly , as it should .

Any of those situations could easily bluff a man into thinking the cable is the problem . (edited)
