at least on the mobylette (i have a 79) model make sure you have the two (that's all i've found so far that need it) grease points adequately lubed. in the center of the nut holding the clutch on there is a point and also there is a point on the end of the pedal shaft requiring grease. we just used an air powered grease gun with a pointed attachment to lube throughout. i experienced the negative half of the pedal shaft point because since i didn't know it had to be greased i blew out a set of roller bearings. luckily i noticed the point on the clutch yesterday and now the clicking sound i had in the clutch is gone so i'm pretty sure i saved that from going bad.
SINCE THERE WAS REALLY NO WAY TO MAINTAIN THESE PARTS SHORT OF HAVING A BREAKAGE IF ANYONE HAS ANY OTHER MOPED MAINTENANCE TIPS PLEASE POST THEM. WE CAN ALL USE THE INFORMATION TO KEEP US ALL ON THE ROAD.
