Hi! My name is Mitzi. I live in Savannah, GA close to the historic district and I recently had my moped stolen and I’m talking earlier this week probably like two days ago. My moped is inoperable to the point where the wheels don’t even turn so it had to have taken and been carried by two people and put in a car because it couldn’t have been pushed anywhere or lifted because it’s extremely heavy. The model is a silver one seater 1979 motobecane. It has an M stenciled on the back and it has one pedal missing and no side mirrors. Like I said it is inoperable and I was saving money to get it fixed this weekend. I’m pretty sure it’s a rare bike and the only one in it’s kind in the area. If the thieves are in this area and they wanted to get it fix, I was hoping that motorcycles, scooters, and moped business would be on the look out. I also have the serial number if you guys need it. I’m kind of distraught because it’s something I love very much and I was looking forward to riding it again. Please please please if you guys could help and be on the look out, I would really appreciate it and I would appreciate any advice on how to handle a stolen moped. So far I reported it to the police and I don’t think that they’re gonna be a big help and I’m willing to do anything to get it back so please let me know what else I can do.
