Rear wheel seized, what’s going on here lol

Hey guys, my Tomos a3 crapped out on me and I ended up peddling it home. After getting home I tried to get it started again but the rear wheel locked up and the crank seemed to seize. The rear wheel isn’t spinning freely and the motor tries to crank over when I manually spin the wheel forward or backward. The clutch is broken so that will have to be replaced but is that the root of all my problems?

There doesn’t seem to be any damage/scratches/scoring to the cylinder or the head. Any ideas?? Thanks in advance!

Yes that is your problem. When the clutch breaks like that it locks everything together and won’t move without turning the motor over.

Is that your only problem....idk I would say yess unless your seized your engine when that broke all at the same time. I would start with fixing the clutch and see what that does.

That’s the answer I was lookin for. I really have no idea what the hell i’m doing haha. Thank you sir! I’ll order a new clutch right now.

i guess this is the weak spot for a3 clutch shoes and exactly where mine broke. mine never locked up though..., only discovered when chasing shuddering 2nd issue, your might be rear wheel related, is your brake hub on frame pin, rear brakes work?
