Vespa rolecall

Who's still got em? What cool shits everyone doing. I've been out of it for a while. Did scooter clutches ever become a thing?

I'm back bb

Re: Vespa rolecall

I just got into the vespa game. Ive had it easy so far acquiring a very well built engine for my ciao. I'm hooked though. So simple to work on. Heres my bike so far.

That is awesome looking, huge + for keeping the chain/belt covers!

Re: Vespa rolecall

Picked up a basket case grande that looks a lot like yours, Dacruzer (at least now it does, after picking up some missing parts!). Got it to fire but not run - one order in and more treats on the way....First Vespa for me..!

Re: Vespa rolecall

Anybody got a set of stock cases you can part with?

I found some in nola but I would have to buy the whole crusty bike.

Re: Vespa rolecall

That what it looked like.

Yo Brad!

Nice to see you back on a Ciao.

I've got a few vespa projects in the works, but they've been back-burnered for awhile now.

Scooter clutches were a thing for a moment, I know one of the Dutch/Netherlands companies was looking to make conversions for the SS transmissions which would be amazing

Re: Vespa rolecall

Heres my kinetic

Re: Vespa rolecall

Very good vespa content. I enjoy this.

Please tell me that's a scooter clutch Joe

Re: Vespa rolecall

Nope, vespa euro clutch interals, with the treats cnc clutch bell.

I have the parts to do the scooter clutch and ss trans for it, but I haven't had the time to make the mods for it to fit.

Re: Vespa rolecall

Thanks Dillon, happy to be back. I've got an extra gear set and 2 spare clutches from my elite 50. I'm gonna play around with some stuff and see if I can make something work.

Re: Vespa rolecall

Joe if you wanna sell that lemme know :)

Re: Vespa rolecall

I forgot if those shafts were a custom or are they just scooter specific, used in conjunction with a single speed trans?

Re: Vespa rolecall

That shaft is just the gy6 shaft. I need to turn down the vespa shaft and bore out the gy6 shaft and press them together. The od of the gy6 shaft is the right size for the id of the bearing in the ss transmission.

Re: Vespa rolecall

Re: Vespa rolecall

Now it's all coming back.. I swear I had one of those hybrid shafts like 4 years ago. Sure wish I held onto that.

Re: Vespa rolecall

I'm more of a Grande guy but I have love for all the Vespas

Team Grande rules! I just wish this vesper shit wasn't so expensive. Anyone else running those 108mm cheeks treats has?

for real though I love this bike. the geometry is great and feels really solid. You can really lean into it and feel like it's not gonna slip out.

Holy Shamolies!! What are the ratios of those tires!! I love the offroad look. With Vespa you have to pay to play....unfortunately it's more pay then I would like it to be but that's apart of the game.

dis my curb jumper lol

Heidenau K42 Rear - 16 x 2.75 - this has a badass tread pattern. should chuck mud and snow real good like.

Heidenau K46 Front - 17 x 2.75 This one is a lot wider than the other (at least it looks like it) despite having the same dimensions. Still rides great. the perspective of the photo messes with it a bit too but it is kinda wider.

Good tires though. Low road noise and very grippy what for hooning about and such.

Re: Vespa rolecall

Thats hot.

The 100mm plates barely fit in the subs, I imagine the 108's will require losing the upper and lower lip
