This is my first moped, it's a 1990 Tomos Golden Bullett TT LX. It's got a 70cc airsal kit on it and some other fun stuff.
Really considering a larger motor swap... any suggestions?

An owner who wants to motor swap "something larger" onto it.
Half the fun/beauty of this hobby is being put into the parameters of working with what you are given and tinkering with it from there. Inventiveness and creativity are born from being put in a box and finding an interesting way to work outside of the box. I dunno, that's my two cents.

And , I thought the tape was to mark the exact spot for stones to hit . lol

Aw haha, well I’d like to do a rebuild on the a35 but treatland doesn’t stock the crank. It’s my first moped, so obviously I’ll be doing all the silly first timer stuff. How bout you offer a warmer welcoming to new people so that they aren’t turned off from staying in the community! I dunno, that’s my two cents! :~)

Well the a35 is shot, figured looking into a new motor isn’t a half bad idea because rebuilding it may cost me about as much as a new motor. I bought a moped because I think the community seems interesting and I think the top tanks look super rad. Seems like the moped community is all about freedom of expression, but maybe that’s not so true haha.

Welcome! Theres plenty of info on this site for tomos if you dig around! This community is actually really great and the stuff people build is nuts! Don't be turned off by kyle (hes one of the raddest dudes) and he honestly isnt trying to be mean or anything. There's a lot of repeat tropes on this forum and one of them (which many consider a sin) is the 'just picked up this maxi from my neighbor, how can i put a lifan 150 on it???'. Your bike is neat, rebuild it and make it rip! (edited)

Welcome, you need a bit of a thick skin around here, but there is a ton of good information, check the wiki. If you have not yet check flat view, forums will be easier to read. There is a buy/sell area if you want to advertise for a new or used engine, or parts for what you have. I like the look of your bike, but you should ad a fender if you daily ride it. Have fun. There are other shops for parts, all in wiki. (edited)

welcome, i dig the look of your bike. that said, if you're not into the idea of rebuilding the motor yourself, mopeds might not be for you. Why? They break. Simple as that.

What makes u so sure u need a complete rebuild ? Ie case, crank everything ??
