Yes, but a mixed up lean mix still burns slower than a mixed up rich mix.
I don't get it if you understand this, why don't you understand the purpose of turbulence and adding heat via EGR is to speed up the burn on a lean mix?
Let me put it this way, if a lean mixture burned faster what could you do with the porting? Try thinking of it like that.
