Drilling Out The Fork Lock

How do you drill out the fork lock? I have recently bought a 1993 Tomos Sprint, but I did not receive a key to go with it. Can someone help me by explaining to me how to drill the fork lock out?

Re: Drilling Out The Fork Lock

Are your forks currently locked?

Re: Drilling Out The Fork Lock

A competeent locksmith can make you a key if you bring it to their shop. As long as they have the corrct blank, it's do-able.

I wonder if you bought a stolen bike :-P

You don't even need to drill it.

Some penetrating oil and a tiny flathead screwdriver will remove the entire assembly.
