hobbit/autisa 60cc/kriedler vanveen mimic.

pics explain it all....hopefully it works...if you've seen this on FB...sorry

working on piston and case next

and intake...pipe as well

Re: hobbit/autisa 60cc/kriedler vanveen mimic.

Skeet skeeet sket and a few ghost loads. That is sexy.

Re: hobbit/autisa 60cc/kriedler vanveen mimic.

I just jizzed in my pants.

Re: hobbit/autisa 60cc/kriedler vanveen mimic.

Im so glad i just clinked this thread!

I just bought a 49mm liner to put in a derbi cylinder.

Cant wait til you run it to hear about results

Re: hobbit/autisa 60cc/kriedler vanveen mimic.

Quality work, Great job

Re: hobbit/autisa 60cc/kriedler vanveen mimic.

What a hack

Haha I'm so glad you did this. I bet it's going to be a crazy powerful bike.

Now only if there were more sleeved cylinders!

Should have posted in performance though

Re: hobbit/autisa 60cc/kriedler vanveen mimic.

wow.

Re: hobbit/autisa 60cc/kriedler vanveen mimic.

nice work, if i had time i would do my brn/derbi cylinder creation like this..

Re: hobbit/autisa 60cc/kriedler vanveen mimic.

Great job on the porting. My only concern would be if it can shed enough heat for extended runs.

Re: hobbit/autisa 60cc/kriedler vanveen mimic.

^read my mind.

Jbot style h20 head ftw.

Im still wrapping my head around the scavenging and flow characteristics on the intake side.

Re: hobbit/autisa 60cc/kriedler vanveen mimic.

If he throws a eurokit head on it it'll be fine.

Re: hobbit/autisa 60cc/kriedler vanveen mimic.

Ring gap in center of boost?

You got it:)

I've got a Derbi head I'm cutting to fit...good squish and tight cc...also a lot of fin...also my timing is right where I want it...I would have no doubts about it but there's the new secondary exhaust ports that have yet to be tested...I'm feeding the cylinder from a lot of new locations...but not a lot more volume than originally designed...hobbits have huge case-side transfers stock

Re: hobbit/autisa 60cc/kriedler vanveen mimic.

I'm not familiar with this cylinder as is, but did you press the original sleeve out or bore it and just start with a blank iron sleeve? Also where did you get the vanveen port data?

Re: hobbit/autisa 60cc/kriedler vanveen mimic.

That has to be some of the cleanest porting I've yet seen.

I popped out the sleeve...ported both sleeve and cast...then heat/freeze reassembled them.

My port timing...I only copied the exhaust ports over the boosts from some photos of a vanveen cylinder...guess work on my part but know one else could give me a solid answer...just theory as well:)

Re: hobbit/autisa 60cc/kriedler vanveen mimic.

wowowow dude

i think you've next level'd your previous next level shit.

I'm sure you know already but the 'Cobra' dirtbike sleeves are bore x stroke the same as puch, if you ever want to go down that road.

Re: hobbit/autisa 60cc/kriedler vanveen mimic.

bonkers

the tooling is crazy clean too

Re: hobbit/autisa 60cc/kriedler vanveen mimic.

continuously leveling up

Re: hobbit/autisa 60cc/kriedler vanveen mimic.

no groms no blasters /

my god it's more port than cylinder

Re: hobbit/autisa 60cc/kriedler vanveen mimic.

^I know

I can't handle it.

honestly how many hours? Mostly cuz I recently laughed off some guy's "200 hour" port job that wasn't 1/10th as good as this.

wow.

what'd you use to file it? so much precision in even the weird angle spots. like those transitions, the fine tiny perfectly aligned ramps? never running over the thin line between the aux exhaust and the added transfers?

Even if I were bold enough to try there is no way in fuck I wouldn't have ruined that.

And lining it up that correctly after, is there some sort of alignment piece or you just shove it in and get it perfect?

what's the piston looking like? anything fun on the case besides lining up the new trans?

Re: hobbit/autisa 60cc/kriedler vanveen mimic.

I put this on FB... but here's a vid before final assembly

Re: hobbit/autisa 60cc/kriedler vanveen mimic.

whaaaaat? the exhaust wraps like 50% of the way around?! so sick.

Re: hobbit/autisa 60cc/kriedler vanveen mimic.

Cool. I'be been putting off doing this for a long time. Glad someone did.

I have about 30 combined hours over a week or two ...after work just dremeling it out...I popped the sleeve in and marked the aluminum with a scribe...then popped it back out...470 in a oven...hit it with a block of wood and a hammer...easily pops out...freeze the sleeve for a while...heat the aluminum up to 470 again and it will fall freely into the bore...you'll have about 10 seconds to position it and hold it in place...then it all equalizes and locks tight.

Also I use rifler files and light to check my radius/flats and depths on my porting. It mostly just the dremel(edited)

Re: hobbit/autisa 60cc/kriedler vanveen mimic.

dremel master

will u port a cylinder for me

Re: hobbit/autisa 60cc/kriedler vanveen mimic.

What tolefance did you do between the sleeve and cylinder?
