i cant get this stupid piece of sh1t moped to start or even turn over or anything and it leaked gas all over the garage last night because i forgot toturn the gas off. my mom is super pissed and bing a total b1tch about it and says its gotta go so now its sitting outside and its snowing. supid weather. i think i need to just take it to a shop or something does anybody fix mopeds in milwaukee or know where ican take it? hopefully somewhere by west allis so i dont have to go very far my buddy said he could give me a ride in his truck tomorrow.

Before you take it to moto-scoot, why not let your uncle look at it? He said he would try to help you with the broken pedal, id assume he would also help with the rest. The price tag to get that running could get lengthy at a shop, especially if its not in the greatest shape.

look ok i'm just kinda pissed off because i'm pretty good at engines and stuff but i cant even figure out how to make this start and i thought it would be something easy but it doesn't even turn over. if somebody is in milwaukee and wants to help that would be great its just too cold to work outside right now.
i work part time at gamestop, its like 2 miles away so i just want a moped so i can get to work this summer and dont have to get rides. yeah i still live with my my mom i'm saving up to get my own apartment this summer. she's pretty cool but sometimes she busts my balls i probably shouldn't have called her a bitch except shes being one right now about this moped because she thinks it isnt safe.

If I can get a hobbit running anybody can. It just needs fuel and spark to at least fire, if not run.
Things you can do in the garage, in no order:
- Check for rust in tank/petcock/fuel lines
- Put an inline filter in the fuel line
- Remove old fuel and fill with fresh mix (of weedeater fuel)
- Choke closed when starting?
- When you pedal with the lever up, does the belt move
- if the belt moves, is the magneto spinning (have to remove the cover on engine on right side of ped, two screws)
- if the belt doesn't move, tighten by moving the rear wheel (4 bolts to loosen)
- Getting spark? (buy a tester at local auto store or remove spark plug from engine, put back in spark plug wire and hold electrode against engine block while someone pedals)
- No Spark? are points opening? Search how to set.
- Getting spark? Disconnect spark plug wire, pedal for a couple of minutes. Remove spark plug and see if its wet or dry. If dry, not getting fuel.
- is the decomp valve properly installed and closed
- Very likely need to clean the carb - easy to find info on removing and cleaning
This is just a quick & easy list. Should at least let you know what reason(s) you have for not firing.
You should be able to find how to do any/all of these by searching the repair forum and reading up in the wiki.

Also - check all of the wiring connections.
When the fuel leaked all over the garage, did it come out of the carb? That could indicate float/needle valve problems.

If you can't get it to turn over you're probably in bike mode. It was brought up in your other thread but I couldnt tell if you ever found the lever.

Next make sure your switch is in the "run" position.
Now push the decomp lever forward as you pedal the bike, it's on the left hand side of the handle bar.
If that doesnt start it, consult fred's guide or some of the other beginner wiki links people have been sending you.
Be careful hiring people to work on your bike, the fix is probably pretty easy and theyre probably not very good mechanics.
Most of these assholes have a hard enough time keeping their own bikes running.

Just a life lesson and nothing about mopeds.... But living at your moms saving for a place this summer working only part time playing video games I can tell you now that's not going to work..... So..... Getting back to working hard... Reading is fundamental if they have told you to read to fix your ped just do it! You don't get instant gratification with anything in life you have to learn, work hard and strive for goals! That's life same with the ped. If you want to know how to do it? Then learn Fuck up and repeat. Same with life. Its real man...
I'm fixing to be 31 I've got 4 kids oldest being almost 13 and I've messed up a lot all around from life to fucking shit up trying to fix it and everything in the middle. Mistakes and learning from them is life... So be a man and work on your OWN shit! What are you going to do? Break it??? Well fix it then.. Learn more.
In the end you learn, practice and repeat...
Fix your OWN bike!!! And get out of your moms house you bum!
