According to my sources, Canada is a vast frozen wasteland where the British army sent all the criminals and mental cases. Casey, you're better off at the Elvis Costello concert. I wouldn't go to Canada if they dragged me kicking and screaming.

David, Just like Humphry Bogart in 'Casablanca', you were misinformed. bruce

According to my American wife, The United States of America is a vast wasteland of Puritanical, bible-thumping, overmedicated, rascist, Republican gnostics who know so little about any other country and are so xenophobic that they would just like to nuke anyone different right off the planet. Do you think she goes far enough in her comments?

Did I also mention that they are the most obese people in history and that, if Mr. Martin is any example, they don't do humour all that well? That's okay, we have another bunch of Canadian comics to send you for your sitcom idiocy.

By the way, Elvis Costello's first North American concert was in front of 50 people at the El Mocambo in Toronto in 1976. He keeps coming back because he finds Toronto and Canada, um, civilized. Could that be because Toronto is the most multicultural city in the world, with 150 nations among its population, and over 100 languages spoken here? David Martin, please don't come to our moped gathering in Toronto, you would probably embarass us with your diatribes against our beloved immigrants.

Just sign me,

wow, that's some bitter shit.

Re: Toronto Moped Gathering

Not bitter, dan, just an appropriate response to an ill-informed and immature poster. No one has to suffer fools gladly on a board, so I thought I would just smack him upside the head a bit. If Mr. Martin knew something about American history he would not open his cakehole so quickly to insert both feet. That's it for U.S./Canadian relations.

Re: Toronto Moped Gathering

David,

You have to understand why they might hate us so much though. We are the ONLY nation that has marched into their capitol and burned the Whitehouse down......

Now THAT'S bitter!!!!!

Well...yes...but then there was no one around to drink beer with, so you went home.

Re: Toronto Moped Gathering

yeah, then we tried to organize a hockey game, but one team kept getting breakaways up the frozen Delaware River. That's how the midwestern states were settled.

Re: Toronto Moped Gathering

That's the ONE part of history that they never teach in school. The Great Beer Famine of 1812.
