I made this seat cover! BOOOO YA!

Re: Sewed a seat cover

Very nice work ! Did you copy an old one ? What thickness material did you use, some of my old covers look quite thin...

Re: Sewed a seat cover

Word man! Looks good! I did an all white w/ pleats and black stitching a couple years ago for my buddy's wifey's green maxi.

Looks good

Re: Sewed a seat cover

I just cut out some shapes and sewed them together. Used some vinyl scraps I had laying around.

Re: Sewed a seat cover

Re: Sewed a seat cover

my wife got a fancypants vacuum last year for christmas and now she won't let me use it.

FTW.

maize that seat looks blumpy and engorged like my penis. i like it.

i laminate carpet padding for the center meat of the seat cover, and use the thin layers of closed cell... its not polyurethane i think its more like polyethylene or something... as the top layer, it gives it a smooth finished look.

Re: Sewed a seat cover

Oh nice! What kind of vacuum did she get?

any process pix to inspire and motivate the rest of us?

i learned, make it super blumpy or else it ends up hard as a rock.

also to use rustproof fasteners, humidity proof.

Re: Sewed a seat cover

this is the start of my TSM seat, it gets one layer of closed cell polyethlyene foam over that.

this is the vac Caitlin got, she likes it, i think its kinda chincy and gimmickey, but like i said i'm literally not allowed to use it, so that is cool.
