So I hotwired the wiring, no spark for weeks, followed and wrote a few threads, and poof, Placed the testing screwdriver into the harness, peddled with my right arm, and for a few seconds I could taste the metal fillings in my teeth. Seams the poor previous owner gave up when it hit 1300 miles and I found the simple truth. Trac was cheap, so cheap the main ground lug is on the headlight tilt mount bolt and they didn't include any washers, not even the 0.03 cent electric washer so the vibration shut down the ground for the entire bike. I thought about the owner and how he or she cussed when it died on the 13th fill-up never to be seen sparking again. The barn find that has a story, hello, im a poorly assembled Trac from a pissed off worker who was having a bad day. Progress, simple progress.

replaced a tube. ghetto rigged a flashlight headlight to get home in the dark. tried to figure out where and how to get a voltage regulator on. probably broke my new rear cones or axle on the way home. doing the worky stuffs in the near future times. have to order things....

Well, the air leak on the clamp of my sha has me very frustrated. I may switch to a 15 or 14 bing (gasp). Got me a nice toggle killswitch for my new maxi. Successfully wired the headlight. Basically have it ready to go when my parts get here. Besides having it clean

Today I rode the G-3 out to watch all the Burners driving up Pyramid Lake Highway headed for Burning Man, a good 20 mile ride.It was a real Hoot! ~

i hit 444 degrees on a massive hill while it was 102 outside and 90% humidity and managed not to seize... so i got that going for me. Ordered up a new intake, vm18 mikuni and jets, assortment of clutch springs from treats friday, and a new oversize piston from 1977. Figure right about the time i get everything tuned in and melt my current piston the one from 77 might arrive.

Cleaned 6 inches of dirt from the exhaust, set the points again but this time its all blue pop now, put gas in her tank for the first time, new plug, played with wiring, peddled her back to life, rode 10 laps at a blazing 14.5 mph. Lights now working, still no idle, horn sounds sick. Electric is now 100% with timing included. Still need to tear down and clean the carb, worried about the rarity of the clutch and belt parts. ... .. clean and flip?

I installed my new circuit exhaust. Sounds nice and good power boost over stock.

My baby is back up and running. Breaking in the Polini today, shit is butter with a roller crank. Didnt peak 330 or get much faster than 45.
Mounted up a new led for the plate and headlight grill and put a good 25 miles on her. (edited)

I turned my idle screw in one turn. I also tightened my exhaust but it came loose again.

I fit some sport bike clip ons to some pit bike forks. Yeah mopeds.

Installed new engine mounts, nos cylinder kit including new piston etc, drilled the intake out to 9/16, and swapped the choke cable sleeving for a more flexible one so I could route it properly. Just a couple connectors for the horn and some fork boots to go and she'll be sorted.

hahaha, i found a h3 55w/60w 12v bulb that fits right in a cev bezel reflector with absolutly zero mods. it's good to have six scrapyards at your leisure.

only one type, will fit exactly. one manufacturer, one car type.
there are like sixteen+ differnt ones. i mean it snaps in. 0 mod except the terminal connecters may need a tweek.

i found a led bulb at autozone that fit right in my cev bucket. I can actually see the road at night now.

I took the 40T for a quick spin Yesterday and it runs pretty well, might need a bit more of a down-jet once broken in. Then I trucked the TFR in to town with a load of furniture, but moving took too long due to daytime traffic so didn't make moped Monday :(

Woke up early before work and drilled out then installed a new front fork lock. After seeing how easy it was to get the original one out, I think I feel less secure with it on there now haha.

Put a new belt on the moby and took it down to the auto parts store for another jug of evaporust and some connectors. Installed said connectors on the horn leads and listened to the pleasant buzz it made. Then I modified the throttle to pull the 15.15, changed the cable, and fixed the sticky choke.

Made a skateboard seat for my friend's maxi, changed out his bars to some loooowwww ones, went on a little moped ride around santa cruz. it was like 7:00, getting dark, friend had to get to band practice and we were lightless, and on the way to the house my pipe got loose at the header, turns out I lost a stud there so I had to hold it in with the only one other allen bolt I had on there. then went got food, watched some ancient aliens with him and his band, turns out nazis tried to time travel with upside-down acorns. I fixed my headlight but my taillight was busted, so we ripped home at 10:30 pm with no taillights and barely working headlights.
