motobecane question

Jerry VanDenton /

question.... just bought my first motobecane... its a '76 mobylette with 1600 miles on the clock in great condition... anyway, thinking about changing out the rear drive sprocket for for more top speed... anyone do this and with what kind of results? Thanks.

Re: motobecane question

Don't screw with anything until you have read everything you possibly Can about these bikes.

But to answer your initial question: Don't. Motobecanes are so totally unlike most other mopeds. You don't really have a slippable clutch to get you up into the Power, that's what the Variator is for.
