my friend is going to let me borrow his honda express. he lost the key and hasn't started it for over 6 months. he wants me to fix it. can someone tell me how to start the moped without a key? and i also need to know what kind of 2 stroke oil it takes.

Hey Brian,
I don't know about bypassing the ignition switch on your bike, but I wouldn't want to post how, anyway. I'm sure your intentions are good, but that's the sort of information that would be really handy to a thief. Your friend should be able to tell you what kind of oil to use.

try disconnecting all the wires that lead to the ignition, worked 4 me when i lost the keys to my Qingqi mulan scooter......
or try just writing down the lock code (or removing the whole thing) goin to your local honda dealer and have another key made from the ignition, have ur friend come with you with the registration to the moped so they know its not stolen.

hi brian on the back off the ignition barrell there should be a plastic thing on the end of the barrel called the black box which is normally black remove that there is a key hole in the middle place any key and turn and it start with use of elitric start or kick start

thanks for helping, i will try those things and hope they will work. but i can't go to a honda dealer and get a key made because he doesn't have the registration, he traded his old moped for a homeless guy's...
does anyone have any tips on how to restore the moped, like i said it has not been started for a long time. i don't want to take the carb off so can i just spray somthing in it? and will it start up fine with all the cleaning stuff in the carb? if there is anything else i should know just tell me. thanks
