Italian Experts Take a Look 1976? Omer Lory

john cervini /

So i just got this yesterday. According to the PO he got it from an italian family that brought it here from italy. It has a Motori Minarrelli engine with a 3 speed transmission. The shifter is on the left handle bar and works like a bike shifter. The clutch is operated by the left brake handle. The rear brake is foot operated. I have found some info on Omer Motorcycles but no luch finding this model. It is an Omer Lory. Still has the fork lock keys! I think it's really cool. My family comes from northern italy and even have a mountain called Mount Cervini there. My 12 year old daughter and i will be doing the restoration and plan to keep it in the family. The motor is free but everything else is crusty.

just another classic Italian tube frame with Cimatti forks. lol, you will just have to browse the photo section of every Italian name to match up the parts for a lead as a way to search for what you need to look for in parts.

From my research the p4 looks completely different.

Very cool!

Re: Italian Experts Take a Look 1976? Omer Lory

bet a Minarelli V1 would slip

right in that frame.

do that and then restore the

P4 engine later

my Moto BM has the exact

same frame

i call that the "lem" frame, used on tons of italians.

as to the marque moto BM, if it's V1 powered, it may be the gadabout

link a picture, include the footrests if you can.

they came with many different motors.

fuel in frame

tomos powered?

even rebadged Franco Morini

mine is V1 powered, no p4

to RebelVP Sleepydog, can you show how you linked the motor to a p4?

i found this thread here on MA

odd the shifter is on the right, others are on the left?

maybe Ed can shed some light

Well this has turned into my winter project. I sold most of my peds and parts a while back when my health was failing and didn't expect to be around to work on peds anymore. I got the engine to run. It appears to be a P3. I started stripping paint down to bare metal. I'm going with true blue for the new paint.
