90 mph with a Mack truck on my ass , to hell with the motor that's me pedaling ! ~
I imagine if you can hit 50mph in that 1/8th of a mile, you're already doing OK.

shit, 40 mph on an 1/8 is good for most lol get that power band going and be like BBBRRRRRRRAAAAAPPPPP
My brother-in-law is one of the owners of New England Dragway. I think we will need to take a few peds down the strip one day they are closed. They just went NHRA so it is as not as loose as it used to be, will have to do it when nobody from the mother organization is on site.
Looks like Shifter bikes ^ not mopeds to me
ya but still pretty cool!
Goota have that gearing on point.
Mini bike (4 stroker Briggs / Honda, etc) dragging is awesome, Would love to try it on a moped.
We drag race all the time, this isn't our 1/8 mile, but we have a perfect 1/8 mile drag strip at our shop.
One speeds are usually around 50mph in the 1/8th. That pinto is 60 or so, probably a lil more now.
Haha nice!^

the harley shop here has a dragbike team.
it can be done, but who has the cash? the engine will last 2 maybe 3 runs on top fuel, i seen what it does to a onespeed.

e50, that was the first time I got it running though, before the ktm clutch was dialed in right, soooo crazy out the gate now.
It's a LC metra pro race 2 cylinder + 28 dellorto VHST.
I raced it at the track with 14x48 doing 55 at 14.5k rpm. Almost too gnarly for the track. Gunna toss some gear on it see get some top speeds outta it soon.
i think the plan is to have drag races down the straightaway at the tomahawk cup during one of the days. bring your extra sprockets.
60's through early 80's was a huge time for race peds, but they called them sprinter mopeds the sport has mostly been taken over by scooters but is still varymuch alive
fucking ripper^^^^^^^ (edited)
i don't know if anyone has stumbled across this page, but we ain't got shit on these foreigners (thailand i believe). serious face melters only.

but for real, i want some parts. (edited)

These are Mopeds in all other countries where the laws do not target folks who have mopeds as not being smart enough to figure out how to shift their 50cc steeds...

omg those pipes..want.
yea there's plenty of drag racing in lots of other countries. I'm probably getting like 30 in an 1/8 mile. it's pretty exciting.
maybe i'll build a really fast bike some day. probably not.
homie on the white #1 Puch looks like he's ready to moderate some forums
I took my magnum one night and made a dozen passes, I won't get into particulars but my times could have been better with better weather and tuning. I can't find my time slip but the best run was 13.00 at 53.2
Edit I found a slip but it wasn't my fastest of the night, had to down jet like crazy, it was 105 and super humid. (edited)
That water cooled ped resmbles Mars' MB103 abomination
It would be great to put all these mopeds and scooters in Baltimore city on the truck.....and to see what they got ! ....

thats not bad!! thats what i wanted to see thanks for posting your time slip! gives me something to shoot for! you have set the bar!
At our last rally in the middle of our long Saturday ride we pulled over and had a drag race contest to see who had the quickest bike. The only catch was your bike also had to be able to make it through the whole rest of the ride without breaking, because what's the point in a fast bike if it isn't reliable as well.
