Hey, my name is Eric and I just bought a 1982 Eagle 1 moped for like 75 bucks. It needed some work so I took it to Handy Bikes, the guy got it running basically for free. I just wanted to know if anyone knew how to modify it a little, because mine only hits 30mph, or maybe you know where the governer is so I could take it off. All help is appreciated. Thanks
What motor does it have? If it's a Sachs, try to find the square head, as opposed to the tapered one, and make sure you have the thick exhaust pipe. I'm still wondering if anyone has gotten a performance pipe on a sachs, like a biturbo. Other than that you can just keep it clean, and well adjusted You'd be suprised how much tat helps.
...i have a 82 egale 1.....it's at handy bikes right now.....getting tuned.........i bought a pipe from them....it helped a "little"......and it cost me 200 bones.....i cant find any hi po parts for a sach's......i figure i'll port and polish the intake manifold...........mine only goes 25....i hope that will go up to 30, after handy bikes work on it ........i heard there is talk about coming out with a sach's kit........but im not going to hold my breath........let me know if you find anything......i'll do the same
Sach's are definately hard to find performance parts for. The best suggestion that I have is to modify the airbox and get a bigger jet for your carb.

This is the only site I've found with Sachs stuff on it. I don't know if anyone here has ordered from them yet..... and it's in German.
.....if i only knew german......it looks like they do make a 78cc big bore kit for the sach's mill........sweet....this is what i've been looking for!..........thanx
