I am clear coating the side plastics. The one that covers the airbox and carb is still wet, and I need my moped today. I secured the air box with one of the plastic's screws. Am I good to go? I don't see why I shouldn't be, but I'm just making sure. regards

You will be cool. People ride without sidecovers all the time...It just doesn't look as good.
