I don't inherently object to you doing a cafe theme.
there are many aspects of cafe I can appreciate. I dunno what your plan is
things i like:
big round light front fairings like the ltd ones
or actually square ones too, front fairings are cool
low/mid rise bars, look good, better than tall stocks but still comfy and classic vs. drops.

long seats - especially the maxi cigar ones. maybe a little hump in the back.
things i dislike that get called "cafe"
dropped bars - especially just flipped lowrise. eww.
hideous "custom" cafe seats
chopped off rear fenders
it can be done well. it can be done uniquely, or very stereotypically, or it can just be really half-assed and awful
do what you do
i will hate accordingly.
