ive never done it Doug, but I wouldnt think so, its a 4 stroke so you gotta re set the valves, what makes you think it only needs rings? low compression? if its smoking it could be valve guides,,,,,,,,,,Rog
Hey Rog, I haven`t checked it myself, for compression, but the guy that has it use to be in the bussiness and don`t have time to do the repairs, If I buy it, I will ck the valves and guides too, Hate to pull one down twice when you can do it correct the first time, Thanks! Doug D.
