Does anyone know how to make carb adjustments on honda elite 50cc sb50? Mine wont idle. It just dies if your not giving it gas. I have 1 idle screw and 1 fuel/air mix screw and a bowl drain screw. I messed with the screws before i found out fuel part was bad. Opps./ I am new to these things. any help would be most thanked.

I don't know the exact setting for your bike, but this should work.
Turn the idle mix screw in gently until it just seats, then back about 3/4 of a turn.
Turn the idle screw in until you can idle.
Turn the mixture screw for fastest/smoothest running.
Turn the idle screw out to a reasonable idle speed.
Repeat last 2 steps.

2001 honda elite s ......project. Only has 280 miles on it. wouldnt start, changed pet cock and was running fine. I let it set for a couple of weeks and now it wont idle. there are 2 screws for adjustment one small on the bottom and the other above it. Which is the fuel mixture and which is the idle? Thinking since it was sitting before i got it for about 8 years i might need a new carb now. Only thing is it was running perfect before.
try scoot.net or honda elite forums. idle is the screw usually centered on the slide, ai screw is far to one side most cases
