DOES ANYONE KNOW ANY PERFORMANCE TIPS FOR MY 1976 PUCH MAXI. I NEED SOME BAD. OR SOME THAT I COULD BUILD WITHOUT SPENDING $200. I NEED THEM BECAUSE I GOT TO RACE SOMEONE IN A COUPLE DAYS.

moped warehouse has hi performance mufflers for Maxi's for about 70 bucks, i have one on my Tomos, works great. you could also try getting a slightly bigger carb jet and chopping the end off your airbox so it isnt restrictive, and u still run at proper air/fuel mix (thats why u need a bigger jet, dont wanna be running lean & hot, u'll seize!).
