My 76 Maxi's Handlebars are in bad shape. I just bought it and am going to fully restore the ped. Realizing that function is good too I am wondering if anyone has replaced there handlebars with an aftermarket set with a gooseneck, if so what set up. Any help would be awesome.

I have a 77 maxi with the gooseneck type handle bars. The handle bars are welded to the the gooseneck. They will fit any standard bicycle. I thought about getting a pair of old school shwinn lowrider handle bars to replace the factory ones. I hope this helps.
