Red is headlight, blk is ignition and the other (blue?) is taillight. Taillight must be grounded in order to get spark.
^true.
No need to interact with the Blight.

Red Dumb is so stupid, he's been waiting for his powder coating to dry for the past month.
It takes him 34 words to explain how retarded he is rather than the answer in 21 words. LOL vespa guru
i have 2 tans and green and purple
bumpeo
lolol i for got .......
if it was so easy and you are such a vespa expert, why didnt you know how to do it?
bump
You have 4 wires? Look at them. Where do they go? You can figure this out. Come on.
Post a photo of the stator.
ok i got 5 wires a yelllow on in side on a coil sont know ware thats gos purple green and tan ? and brown?
did you take a sheathing off of the cables?
thanks!!!!!!!!!!!
Remember if your condenser only has one wire, it goes to the points, my pic is if the condenser has two. So in the case of a one wire condenser, you simply just run a wire from the points out to the external ignition coil!!!!
I probably should have drew to pics but that's the only difference.
You can spin it with a wrench while holding the plug boot with a plug in it a millimeter from the head, to see if your getting spark prior to putting the whole motor back on the bike. You can also do a lighting coil test the same way by plugging a light into the lighting positive line, and ground it to the case, i recommend you do this prior to closing the motor all up on the bike it will save you a tone of time if a coil is bad.
I built a machine for this purpose.
bumps its a 3 coil!!
bump i got all new parts and my new coil douse not have a gruound wire so its got a wire soled to the body of the new coil do i need to solder a wire to that and rin it to the case ??
really tho, really real talk.
there are 3 wires coming out.
on any "hardwiring" setup one wire goes to lights, one to coil, and one ground.
not hard to figure out, no need for a diagram or anything like that. i never look at diagrams unless im wiring some tomos turn signals or something. there are only so many places these garsh danged wires can be going.
mike, no need to belittle him how easy wiring is.
i got more out of the 2007 thread then he did i think.
when he wrote "i got the 3 coil one tucked the one coil out and put the inchion coil in and wired it to the points and conders its will pop pop and thats it"
i was able to decipher:
"i have a 3 coil stator, i took one coil out, put the ignition coil(?) in and wired it to the points and condensor. it will "pop pop" and that's it"
not sure what it means, but.
he's proving us doubters wrong when he says "no seizein for me"
maybe his timing is off, by a few years?
i think what i was trying to point out is there is a point in wrenching where you stop reading what to do and you start figuring it out.
i tuke out the coil with the 3 wire out and put in a new ignition coil can new points and coiders its not sparkin mabe a grounds not right
